Little Leaps
Little Leaps Become Big Climate Solutions
When it comes to finding climate solutions, making a difference can feel overwhelming. But each of us can take a little leap out of our familiar, into a new normal, and make a difference.
I’ve been inspired by the idea that we can build a future that we want to live in. I am dedicated to imagining a future that is full of thriving people, plants, creatures, philosophies, and things I care deeply about. Below is a list of actions we can each take with links to more details.
Reduce food waste by doing an honest assessment of what you'll really eat and purchasing only that.
Conserve water by putting a layer of mulch around trees and plants. Mulch slows the evaporation of moisture.
Drive Less. For errands that are 4 blocks or closer and require carrying less than 10 lbs, commit to walking or riding your bike.
Stay tuned. I will be sharing more ideas each month.
Remember: You don’t have to be perfect. And you don’t have to win the “most bold achievement award.” One step toward a positive future is better than standing still in an old and unhealthy habit. Our ambitions move us forward while our imperfections keep us humble.
